  • Not every influence begins with us

    Not every idea, impulse, or inner impression necessarily begins entirely within us.

    According to Spiritism, spirits may influence human beings through suggestions, intuitions, impressions, and impulses that become part of our inner experience.

    Spiritual influence can enter our thoughts without becoming our will.

  • Influence can help or disturb

    A benevolent spirit may encourage courage, patience, compassion, or a clearer understanding of a difficult situation.

    Other spirits may reinforce fear, resentment, pride, despair, or harmful desires.

    What matters is not only where an influence comes from, but what it encourages us to become.

  • Influence is not control

    A spirit may suggest a direction, intensify an emotion, or draw our attention toward an idea.

    But it cannot remove our freedom or make the moral decision in our place. Influence becomes stronger when it finds something within us that responds to it: a desire, habit, fear, intention, or way of thinking.

    A suggestion can affect us without deciding for us.

  • We remain responsible

    Spiritism does not teach us to blame invisible beings whenever we make a mistake.

    Freedom is not the absence of influence. It is the growing ability to decide which influences will guide us.
